Nigerian-born Emmanuel Ohuwabunwa has continued to make waves across the globe with his exceptional academic and professional achievements, serving as an inspiration to many young Africans.
In 2012, at just 22 years old, Ohuwabunwa made headlines when he graduated from Johns Hopkins University in the United States with CGPA of 3.98 out of 4.0 in Neurosciences.
According to video posted on Facebook page: Africa Giant, Emmanue’s record-breaking feat remains one of the highest ever recorded at the prestigious institution and brought pride to his home country, Nigeria.
Despite a challenging start in the United States, marked by instances of bullying and ignorant remarks from peers, Ohuwabunwa remained resilient.
It was made known in the video that he worked tirelessly through adversity, eventually earning scholarships that helped him pursue his academic dreams in some of the best institutions in the U.S.
His dedication paid off as he secured a scholarship to Yale University to study medicine.
There, he was inducted into the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa Society, a recognition reserved for top-performing students.
Now a practicing physician, Ohuwabunwa continues to make impact in both the medical and business fields.
In addition to his medical career, he has been recognized with the Engraved Excellence in Business and Society Award, highlighting his multifaceted influence beyond healthcare.
