NIDCOM restates pledge to diaspora Nigerians’ welfare

The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission has renewed its commitment to ensuring the welfare, protection and robust engagement of Nigerians residing abroad.

The Commission’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Dr Abike Dabiri-Erewa, OON, disclosed this during a meeting with the President of the Nigerian Community in Turkey, Prince Magbo.

Dabiri-Erewa commended Prince Magbo for his sustained efforts in advancing the interests of Nigerians living in Turkey.

She emphasised that the commission remained dedicated to fostering stronger partnerships between diaspora communities and the Federal Government to guarantee the wellbeing of Nigerians overseas.

“We are focused on strengthening collaboration between diaspora communities and the Federal Government to ensure the welfare of our citizens abroad,” she stated.

Responding, Prince Magbo lauded NIDCOM for its unwavering support and advocacy for Nigerians in the diaspora.

This was contained in a statement on Saturday by his aide, Acho Righteous.

The Nigerian community leader expressed appreciation for the commission’s consistent interventions on matters affecting diaspora Nigerians.

NIDCOM has continued to serve as the primary liaison between the Federal Government and millions of Nigerians living across the globe, addressing their concerns and facilitating their contributions to national development.
