Prominent Nigerian filmmaker and theatre producer, Kayode Peters, has died in Canada.
While the cause of his death remains unconfirmed, news of his passing has sent shockwaves through the Nigerian entertainment industry.
The sad development was confirmed on Saturday by popular comedian and radio personality Steve Onu, popularly known as Yaw.
“I’m still trying to reach his brother, but he’s not answering,” Yaw told People’s Gazette, expressing deep sorrow over the unexpected loss.

He gained widespread acclaim for his work on hit sitcoms such as Extended Family and the fan-favorite Flatmates, which enjoyed a loyal audience over the years.
