The United States Mission in Nigeria has issued an advisory to Nigerian students studying in the U.S, warning them against breaching the terms of their student visas.
In a post shared on its official X (formerly Twitter) account on Monday, the Mission cautioned that actions such as skipping classes, abandoning academic programs, or withdrawing from school without proper notification could lead to visa revocation.
“If you drop out, skip classes, or leave your program of study without informing your school, your student visa may be revoked, and you may lose eligibility for future U.S. visas. Always adhere to the terms of your visa and maintain your student status to avoid any issues,” the Mission stated.
However, the U.S. government emphasized that visa holders must strictly follow all regulations tied to their stay.
