Moses Simon set to join Paris FC after completing medical

Super Eagles winger Moses Simon is on the verge of joining newly promoted Ligue 1 side, Paris FC, after successfully completing his medical examination.

The move marks the end of his six-year spell with FC Nantes.

Renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed the development on Tuesday via his X (formerly Twitter) handle, stating that a transfer fee of €7 million has been agreed between both clubs.

“Moses Simon has just completed his medical at Paris FC today after deal done with Nantes for €7m,” Romano posted.

The 29-year-old Nigerian international has also reportedly finalised personal terms with Paris FC.

His new salary is said to be nearly double his current earnings at Nantes — from approximately €38,000 per week to about €75,000, marking the most lucrative contract of his professional career.

Simon joined Nantes in 2019, initially on loan from Spanish club Levante before the move became permanent in 2020.

Over his time with the Canaries, he made 201 appearances, scoring 33 goals and registering 42 assists — the highest total goal contributions for any player in the club’s recent history.

In the 2023/24 Ligue 1 season, Simon played a key role in helping Nantes retain their top-flight status, contributing eight goals and 10 assists in 32 league matches.

With just one year remaining on his current contract and no new agreement reached, the winger and the club have mutually decided to go their separate ways, paving the path for his move to the French capital.
