Nigerian entrepreneur honoured by Brampton Mayor

Nigerian entrepreneur and entertainment executive, Oladapo OJ Adewunmi, has been honoured by the Mayor of Brampton, His Worship, Patrick Brown, during the celebration of Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary in Ontario, Canada.

Adewunmi, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Apollo Endeavor, received the recognition for his contributions to promoting African creativity, entrepreneurship and cultural exchange between Nigeria and the diaspora.

Mayor Brown described Adewunmi as a bridge between cultures and a leader who reflects the progressive image of the African continent.

The event, which brought together dignitaries, cultural figures and members of the Nigerian community, highlighted the achievements of Nigerians making an impact abroad.

Reacting to the honour, Adewunmi expressed gratitude and reaffirmed his commitment to empowering creatives and fostering unity.

“October has always been a special month for me, and receiving such a prestigious recognition during Nigeria’s Independence celebration is truly humbling.

“Contributing to building our community—both at home and internationally—has always been my calling, and this recognition reinforces that mission. I’m here to serve,” he said.
