A Nigerian migrant, who was accused of sexually assaulting two women when he was staying in a migrant hotel in London has appeared in court.
Olusola Kamson, 31, was said to have sexually assaulted the two women on two separate occasions when he was staying in the Thistle City Barbican hotel in Islington, north London, on August 7 and August 12 this year.
Kamson appeared at Highbury Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday for a plea hearing. The case was, however, adjourned as and no pleas were entered.
Kamson appeared in court wearing a grey prison tracksuit and flanked by three prison guards.
There was a mild drama during proceeding as Kamson confronted the judge, Magistrate Gerry Teague after he asked Kamson to stand up as the court does not have enough information to deal with his case.
Kamson interrupted, and shouted: ‘Can I talk to my embassy please?
He also denied knowing the the lawyer, Avnita Bhudia, hired to defend him. Â “I don’t know who she is. Give me an opportunity to speak. I have never seen the lawyer in my life. Why is she representing me?’
As he was led to the cells, Kamson shouted: ‘Just watch.’
He is due to appear in court again on September 9, 2025 for a plea hearing.
