Chelsea are set to include Nigerian players Tosin Adarabioyo and Tyrique George in their squad for Wednesday’s UEFA Conference League final clash with Real Betis, which will be played at Stadion Wrocław in Poland.
The duo were among the 27 players who travelled with the team to Poland on Tuesday and took part in the final training session ahead of the game, signaling their potential inclusion in the final squad.
Although manager Enzo Maresca has taken a large group to the match venue, only 23 players are eligible for selection due to UEFA squad registration rules.
Notably, Marcus Bettinelli, Wesley Fofana, Aaron Anselmino, and Romeo Lavia are unavailable for selection.
With UEFA rules allowing 12 substitutes on the bench, both Tosin and George are expected to be listed among the matchday squad, especially as neither is dealing with injury concerns.
Tosin has been a regular in the Conference League this season, featuring in every match and making 10 appearances.
He also found the net in Chelsea’s commanding 8–0 victory over FC Noah.
George has also played a key role, contributing with a goal against Legia Warsaw and providing assists in matches against FC Copenhagen and Djurgardens IF.
Chelsea will be looking to make history by becoming the first club to win all of UEFA’s major competitions, having already secured the Champions League, Europa League, and the now-defunct Cup Winners’ Cup.
