Nigerian singer, Olatunji Oladotun Alade, widely known by his stage name Dotman, has shared his emotional struggle since relocating to the United States, expressing deep regret over the move.
In a message posted on social media, the Afrobeat artist revealed that living abroad has taken a toll on his mental and emotional well-being.
He also disclosed that he has been separated from his children for nearly two years.
“Today, I regret ever deciding to leave Nigeria and move to the USA, I have been struggling so much in silence… I wish I never moved out here honestly.”
The post quickly drew attention and sympathy from fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry, many of whom offered words of support.

Dotman rose to fame in 2016 with his breakout single Akube and has since built a reputation for blending Afrobeat, street-hop, and highlife.
His musical journey began at the University of Lagos, where he studied Physics Education and gained early recognition after winning a rap competition.
He went on to release popular tracks like My Woman, Afro Girl featuring Mr. Eazi, and Escobar featuring Davido, earning a spot among promising acts to watch, according to platforms like TooXclusive and Vibe.ng.
Despite his professional success, the singer’s personal life has faced several challenges.
In early 2023, he and his American wife, Madison, were involved in a public dispute streamed on Instagram Live. The confrontation, which included accusations of infidelity and financial neglect, highlighted the strain in their relationship.
Madison, who was reportedly expecting their third child at the time, accused Dotman of emotional manipulation and dishonesty.
