Protect Nigeria’s image abroad – Diaspora group tells on nominated envoys

The Europe Chapter of the Diaspora Tinubu Support Group (DTSG) has urged President Bola Tinubu’s recently nominated ambassadors to exhibit patriotism and professionalism as they await ratification and deployment.

In a statement on Monday, the group’s president, Prince Emre Magbo, stressed that Nigeria’s reputation on the international stage must be safeguarded and enhanced through responsible diplomatic service.

He called on the nominees to prove their worthiness by serving diligently in their host countries.

Magbo further highlighted the importance of creating a strong network for cooperation with Nigerians living abroad, stressing that such engagement is vital for promoting the country’s interests.

“Collaboration between the ambassadors and diaspora groups is essential for building stronger ties, promoting national unity, and showcasing Nigeria positively on the global stage,” he said.

He also noted that the DTSG Europe Chapter is ready to assist the ambassadors to ensure their effectiveness.

The group appealed to all stakeholders to support the envoys as they embark on their diplomatic missions.
