Indonesian authorities have arrested two individuals suspected of being involved in the fatal shooting of Australian national Zivan Radmanovic at a villa in Bali.
The arrests followed an intensive manhunt that lasted through Monday.
Radmanovic, 32, was killed on Saturday when two armed men stormed a villa in Canggu, a popular tourist destination on the Indonesian island.
Another man, 34-year-old Sanar Ghanim, was critically injured during the attack.
According to Indonesia’s national police chief, Listyo Sigit Prabowo, one suspect was detained in Jakarta, while the second was being extradited from an undisclosed foreign country.
He noted that further details would be shared later by Bali police.
“I have received reports from the Bali police chief confirming the suspects are in custody,” Prabowo said during a press briefing.
“One is already here in Jakarta, and the other is en route from abroad.”
The operation was carried out through coordinated efforts between Indonesian law enforcement, immigration officials, and the Australian Federal Police.
Further information is expected to be released once the suspects are fully processed.
Eyewitness accounts, including testimony from Radmanovic’s wife, indicated the attackers communicated in English with a pronounced Australian accent, according to an earlier statement from local authorities.
