UK Police visit Nigerian content creator’s home after viral video

A video shared by an X user, Judaeda Blanco, has sparked widespread reactions online after UK police reportedly visited the home of a popular Nigerian content creator based in the United Kingdom.

In the post sighted by Diaspora NG, Blanco shared a video and claimed that the content creator, who is widely known for hair-related content, has built a massive online presence with about 11 million followers and subscribers across social media platforms.

She noted that the creator has been earning from Facebook for several years through her content.

According to the post, the police visit followed the release of a video made by the content creator, although the exact nature of the clip was not disclosed.

Blanco alleged that the authorities were on their way to check the creator’s home due to the content shared online.

The claim triggered mixed reactions on X, with users offering different explanations. One user, Imoleayo, countered the initial narrative, stating that the police visit was linked to content the creator made involving her child.

“The police were there cos of a content she did with her kid,” Imoleayo wrote.

Other users also weighed in on the matter, debating the responsibilities of content creators, especially when children are featured in online videos, and the increasing scrutiny faced by influencers living abroad.

As of the time of filing this report, the content creator involved has not publicly addressed the incident, and UK authorities have not released an official statement clarifying the reason for the visit.
