Video: Nigerian woman decries alleged ICE brutality in viral video, appeals to Trump

A Nigerian woman living abroad has sparked reactions on social media after posting an emotional video condemning what she described as the harsh treatment of immigrants by United States immigration authorities.

In the video sighted by Diaspora NG and shared on X by a user identified as Oyindamola, the woman said she was traumatised after watching videos allegedly showing immigration officers brutalising immigrants, including a nurse she claimed was killed.

She accused the authorities of indiscriminate actions, alleging that both immigrants and citizens were being subjected to degrading treatment without regard for status or age.

The woman appealed directly to President Donald Trump, urging him to openly declare if his administration wanted immigrants out of the country, rather than subjecting them to what she described as fear and violence.

Visibly emotional, she said the videos affected her deeply as a mother, noting that one of the clips was sent to her by her teenage son, which heightened her fears for young people.

She argued that immigrants play critical roles in sectors such as healthcare and elderly care, claiming that many facilities relied heavily on their services.

The woman said if immigrants were no longer welcome, they should be given adequate time to prepare and relocate, appealing for at least a year to “gather themselves.”

She concluded by calling on the President to act with compassion, insisting that the alleged treatment of immigrants was unfair and inhumane.
