Iran-Israel Conflict: Nigerians in middle east safe — Diaspora group

The Nigerian community in the Middle East and North Africa has confirmed that no Nigerian citizen has been killed or injured in the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel.

This assurance was given on Thursday by the Secretary-General of the community, Dr. Omolola Eddo, during a conversation with PUNCH Diaspora Tales.

She stated that despite the missile exchanges that began on June 13 between the two countries, no casualties involving Nigerians have been reported.

“So far, we have not received any verified information indicating that any Nigerian has died or sustained injuries in either Israel or Iran due to the recent hostilities,” Eddo said.

She explained that the group remains in continuous contact with Nigerians living across the region, as well as with community coordinators in affected areas, to stay updated on the situation.

Eddo also noted that there had been no reports of harm involving Nigerians in neighboring countries impacted by the conflict.

She praised the Nigerian embassies in Israel and Iran for taking proactive measures, noting that they have been actively supporting citizens in both countries.

According to her, “The embassies have distributed safety advisories, activated emergency helplines, and are offering guidance to Nigerians seeking to temporarily move to safer locations. They are also working closely with local authorities to protect the welfare of our people.”

Dr. Eddo assured that the community would continue to monitor developments and relay important updates through established diaspora networks.
