Nigerian opens 15th restaurant outlet in Camden Town, unveils luxury suites

International African luxury dining brand, Enish Restaurants, has expanded its global footprint with the opening of its 15th outlet in Camden Town, London, marking another milestone in the company’s growing presence across major cities worldwide.

The new branch, which officially opened on Wednesday, further strengthens the brand’s position as one of the leading African restaurant groups promoting African cuisine and culture on the global stage.

Founder of the brand, Olushola Medupin, described the latest expansion as another significant step in the company’s growth journey, noting that the Camden outlet represents a continuation of a vision that began over a decade ago.

Founded in 2013, Enish has revealed steady expansion from a single restaurant in the United Kingdom to an international chain with locations across Lewisham, Finchley Road, Croydon, Ilford, Brixton, Camberwell, Old Kent Road and Oxford Street, as well as outlets in Dubai, Houston and Kenya.

Medupin, who holds academic qualifications in Economics and Investment Banking and Securities, has grown the brand into a multimillion-pound enterprise through a business model focused on operational efficiency and structured growth. Industry estimates place the company’s annual turnover between £30m and £50m.

He explained that the Camden outlet goes beyond traditional dining, positioning the brand as a lifestyle destination that blends African culture, music and hospitality in a premium setting aimed at both residents and tourists.

A major highlight of the new location is the introduction of Enish Suites, a collection of nine fully furnished en-suite bedrooms designed to provide guests with integrated accommodation alongside the dining experience.

The company’s expansion has also been noted for its resilience, having opened additional branches during the COVID-19 pandemic when many hospitality businesses struggled to survive.

Speaking on the brand’s philosophy, Medupin emphasised the importance of structure, strong systems and sustainable partnerships in building a lasting business, adding that long-term success depends on brand protection, reinvestment and strategic planning.

Located in Camden Town, an area known for its vibrant cultural diversity and active food scene, the new outlet is expected to attract a wide mix of locals, tourists and creative professionals, further advancing the visibility of African cuisine within London’s mainstream culinary space.

With more than two decades of experience spanning Africa, Europe and the Middle East, the restaurateur said the company remains committed to expanding African hospitality globally while promoting cultural identity and excellence through food and lifestyle experiences.
