Tems set to perform at FIFA Club World Cup

Nigerian music sensation Tems, Temilade Openiyi, is slated to perform during the halftime show of the FIFA Club World Cup final.

The event will take place on July 13 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

She will be performing alongside global stars J Balvin from Colombia and American rapper and singer Doja Cat.

This performance marks a historic moment as it will be the first-ever halftime show in a FIFA competition.

The 2025 edition of the FIFA Club World Cup, featuring 32 club teams from across the globe, is scheduled to run from June 14 to July 13 in the United States, across twelve stadiums in eleven different cities.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino confirmed Tems’ participation through a post on his official Instagram account on Monday.

He expressed enthusiasm over the collaboration with Global Citizen, which is co-producing the event.

“I’m thrilled to announce that FIFA and Global Citizen are teaming up for the first FIFA Club World Cup Final Halftime Show, headlined by J Balvin, Doja Cat, and Tems, at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, July 13, 2025,” Infantino shared.

“This groundbreaking show brings together football and music to unite the world.”

The tournament includes champion clubs from each of FIFA’s six continental confederations, along with a representative from the host nation’s league.

Matches will take place at several top venues including Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Rose Bowl Stadium in Los Angeles, and Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, among others.

MetLife Stadium will host the final match where the highly anticipated halftime performance will unfold.
