Real estate investment advisor Hadiza Atta has explained why a growing number of Nigerians are turning to property investments in the United Kingdom.
In a recent video shared on her LinkedIn profile, Atta pointed to several reasons for this trend, including economic uncertainty in Nigeria and the appeal of the UK’s stable property market.
“Despite our love for Nigeria, many people are concerned about the country’s economic unpredictability. With political instability and frequent fluctuations in the Naira’s value, investing in UK real estate provides a more secure way to preserve wealth and protect its value internationally,” she said.
Atta also highlighted the strength of the UK’s legal system as a major incentive.
“The UK offers strong legal frameworks, property rights, and an independent judiciary, which makes investors feel assured that their assets will be safeguarded and any disputes properly handled,” she added.
In addition to financial and legal advantages, she noted that lifestyle and educational factors also play a significant role.
“The UK is home to some of the world’s best schools, and many Nigerians choose to send their children there. Owning a home in the UK can eliminate rental challenges, support visa and residency applications, and provide a reliable base for families considering relocation,” Atta explained.
